Her father worked in the Rural Development of the Government of India, dedicating his career to supporting vulnerable communities.
Watching his work shaped her understanding of the critical role social programs and public systems play in protecting families and strengthening society.In 2011, Anusuya faced a significant personal health challenge. Combined with the loss of her father in 2013, this period became a defining turning point. Through her extensive work in federal and state healthcare, eligibility, and child welfare modernization programs, Anusuya Subramanian gained deep insight into how technology impacts families and vulnerable populations. This inspired her to volunteer as a CASA advocate in Maryland, supporting children in foster care.
Her passion for well-being also led her to found Naturzbest during the COVID-19 pandemic, promoting “Food as Medicine” through organic Indian foods and virtual cooking classes for children. Rooted in her father’s legacy of public service, Anusuya views healthcare systems as lifelines for people, not just platforms.
